BANGALORE: In two separate incidents, thieves broke the window glasses of parked fourwheelers and made away with a cash of Rs 15.5 lakh, including some foreign currency.
The first incident took place in Banasawadi police station limits, where a businessman Srinivas Rao lost Rs 15.17 lakh. Rao, a resident of Ramaswamypalya had gone to a hotel on Kammanahalli Main Road on Wednesday afternoon after parking his SUV in front of the hotel.

He came out of the hotel after 10 minutes and found the glass of his car broken and his bag containing the money missing.Police said that two men on a motorcycle broke open the window of the vehicle and escaped with the bag.

In the second incident, Rs 40,000 was stolen from a car in Kodigehalli police limits. The incident occurred when the victim, Sajith, who owns a shop in Mathikere, was returning to his house at Sahakarnagar. Sajith stopped the car at a hotel near the Ganesha temple and went inside.

Kodigehalli police are investigating the case.
