PURI: The Jagannath temple managing body on Saturday cleared a budget proposal of over Rs 78 crore for 2012-13 fiscal. The budget would be sent to the State Government for approval. Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb, chairman of the temple body, presided over the budget session.Chief administrator of the temple PK Mahapatra said the budgetary provisions had been made for temple servitors’ welfare, insurance and education scholarship for children of the servitors. This apart, there are plans for setting up round-the-clock surveillance system in and around the temple.
