Warsaw: A bank robber who stole about $1,000 at knife-point turns out to have been a priest, prosecutors said on Tuesday.
The robbery took place on Monday afternoon at Polish bank PKO in the town of zamotuly, in western Poland, the Polish Press Agency PAP reported.
The robber, whose name was withheld by Polish law, was detained shortly after the attack and identified himself as a priest, prosecutors told PAP.
Prosecutors confirmed that he was a vicar who previously worked in Bialogard, in northern Poland.
