Sapthathi of Abraham Mar Severios

KOCHI: The sacerdotal golden jubilee and sapthathi of Abraham Mar Severios, the senior most metropolitan of the Jacobite Church, will be held at the Municipal Town Hall on Sunday. Mar Severios is the head of the Angamaly Diocese with his headquarters at the Study Centre at the entrance of Thrikkunnath Church.Union Minister of State for Agriculture K V Thomas will inaugurate the public meeting being held in connection with the celebration at 3.30 pm.  Public Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju will be distribute financial aid for the poor. Catholicos Baselios Thomas I will preside over the function.  Syro-Malabar Church Synod secretary Mar Bosco Puthoor will deliver the benedictory address and Jacobite Church Synod secretary Joseph Mar Gregorios will deliver the keynote address.
