Saritha gets government job

CHENNAI:  K Saritha from Thondi in Ramanathapuram district, who had sacrificed her tongue in fulfilment of a vow for the AIADMK’s victory, has been appointed as a noon-meal organiser by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Saritha met the CM at the Secretariat on Monday and thanked her for the assistance.Saritha sacrificed her tongue at the Gowmariamman temple in Veerapandi in Theni district on May 13 as, according to her,  her prayers for the return of AIADMK to power was answered by the Goddess.On information, Jayalalithaa arranged for Saritha’s treatment and a surgery was performed on her tongue at the Apollo hospitals, besides bearing the entire cost of treatment given to Saritha. Saritha is a destitute woman having two children. Apart from this, Jayalalithaa also paid Rs.one lakh to Sarithaa from the MGR Trust and arranged a rented house for her in Thondi.
