New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Centre to firm up its plans on the deadly chemical endosulfan. The apex court sought a report from the Centre and asked it if it has decided to ban or permit the usage of endosulfan.

Endosulfan has been banned globally by the Stockholm Convention. India reportedly accounts for nearly 70 per cent of the world's production and consumption of endosulfan.
