GULBARGA: Tenth standard boy of Kayak Education Foundation of Gulbarga Mahesh K J bagged the state-level Best Child Scientist Award for the year 2011 on the concluding day of the 19th State-Level National Children Science Convention here on Sunday. He was felicitated with a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a certificate and citation at the function. He would be sent to the National Level Children Science Conference to be held in Jaipur from December 27. Mahesh’s Project titled - ‘Study of Rubber particles in soil’ - was adjudged as the best project in the science convention. Speaking to Express Mahesh expressed his happiness over getting the first award in his life. He said he wants to become a psychiatrist. Science teacher of Kayaka Foundation’s High School, Hyder, guided him.
