Scolded by mother, girl ends life

BANGALORE: A 14-year-old girl ended her life by hanging herself at her aunt’s residence, after her mother scolded her for not going to school.The incident was reported at Weavers’ Colony in Hulimavu police station limits on Wednesday.The deceased has been identified as Navya, a resident of Ragigudda Slum.She was an eighth standard student of RVK School near her house.According to the police, Navya had not gone to school for 10 days and had come to her aunt’s house.On Wednesday, her mother Nirmala went to her sister’s house and scolded her for not going to the school.Upset with this, Navya committed suicide by hanging herself at her aunt’s house after her mother left.Hulimavu police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.It may be recalled here that this is the second such incident in the city
