A local court on Saturday extended the judicial custody of self-styled godman Asaram and four co-accused for 12 days in the case of sexually assaulting a minor after the police sought time till November 6 to file the charge sheet.
"The investigating officer, who was supposed to field the charge-sheet on Saturday, sought more time to file the charge-sheet. The investigating officer told the court that they will file the charge-sheet on November 6," counsel for the victim Manish Vyas said.
After this, the court extended the judicial custody of all the accused including Asaram till November 6.
All of them were produced in the court on Saturday after the court had extended their judicial custody for one day on Friday.
Asaram, 72, was arrested in August on the charge of sexually assaulting a minor girl. He was also slapped with a fresh sexual assault case along with his son on October 6 following a complaint by two Surat-based sisters.
