New Delhi: Former Supreme Court judge Justice AK Ganguly reiterated his stand over his resignation as the Chairman of West Bengal Human Rights Commission. "I'm not resigning, please do not disturb me," he said.
His resignation is being demanded over the allegations of sexually harassing a law intern.
Earlier in the day too, he walked away when he was questioned when he was asked the question over his resignation.
Raking up the demand for his resignation, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien had said that it's a travesty that Ganguly still continued to be the chief of Human Rights Commission even as the world celebrates Human Right Day on Tuesday. Earlier, he had written to President Pranab Mukherjee asking him to act against Ganguly, who has been indicted by a Supreme Court panel of sexually harassing a law intern in December, 2012.
