New Delhi: After much ado, actress Shilpa Shetty won the British reality game show Celebrity Big Brother. And sympathy vote or not, the actress walks away from the show as a multi-millionaire.
But Shilpa is upset and there is a twist in the tale - two people who posed as her agent and manager.
Bobby Khan and Jasveer 'Jazz' Barton posed as Shilpa's agent and manager respectively and the Bollywood belle is now planning on sending a legal notice to the duo for defamation and for misguiding the public as far as she was concerned.
Khan had even been giving interviews about Shilpa and her success to all and sundry.
In a chat with CNN-IBN, he had said, "I am very happy that Shilpa won. It’s a big career boost for her. Many people know that I got the whole deal fixed for Shilpa through Enedemol (the casting-agency Celebrity Big Brother). Now that she has won, lots of things are lined up There’s a Hollywood film by Fox Pictures, endorsements, etc. and she can now choose what she wants.”
Shilpa's spokesperson, Dale Bhagwagar, was quoted by PTI as saying, "Though Jazz was instrumental in Shilpa's tie-up with Endemol, there never was any contract or agreement signed with Shilpa. Jazz is not even a friend of Shilpa's - just an acquaintance."
Bhagwagar added that queries about Shilpa were being misdirected to Bobby and Jazz.
"When we learnt that Jazz was brokering deals signing financial agreements and making commitments on Shilpa's behalf, it had to be announced and clarified that she (Jazz) was not Shilpa's manager," Bhagwagar was quoted by PTI as saying.
