Shuttler Jayaram wins Dutch Open Grand Prix
Jayaram, who defeated England's Rajiv Ouseph in the semifinal on Saturday, won 10-11, 11-6, 11-7, 1-11, 11-9 against Mustofa in the summit clash.

Almere (Netherlands): Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram clinched the $50,000 Dutch Open Grand Prix, beating Indonesia's Ihsan Maulana Mustofa in the final at the Topsportcentrum Almere here on Sunday.

The 27-year-old, who defeated England's Rajiv Ouseph in the semifinal on Saturday, won 10-11, 11-6, 11-7, 1-11, 11-9 against Mustofa in the summit clash which lasted 46 minutes.

Jayaram got off to a bad start, losing the closely-contested first game 10-11.

But he came back strongly to pocket the next two games easily 11-6, 11-7, before losing it completely in the fourth game to lose 1-11.

However, Jayaram regained his concentration and showed tremendous fighting ability to wrap up the final game 11-9 to claim his first Grand Prix title.

Earlier in the tournament, Jayaram had a tough journey en route to the final as he got past third-seeded Indonesian Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka in the quarterfinal and Chun Hei Tam of Hong Kong in the pre-quarterfinal.
