Siddaiah visits parts of the city

BANGALORE: Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner Siddaiah visited various places on Friday night and directed the officials to keep the city clean.The BBMP Commissioner  visited Jayanagar, Vijayanagar and Basavanagudi areas and saw the garbage dumped on the road side. He directed the officials to clear it as soon as possible. Later, Siddaiah who observed that the traffic islands managed by Hosmat hospitals were in a pathetic condition, said that Palike will cancel the permission given to Hosmat Hospital and it will   take care of these traffic islands.During his inspection, he also slapped a penalty of Rs. 50,000 on a man who had dumped construction materials on the road. The BBMP is gearing up to keep the city clean ahead of much-awaited Metro launch.
