Silver Jubilee of Melam Charities

KOCHI: The silver jubilee celebrations of Melam Charities (Melamparambil Varghese John Memorial Charities) will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on September 10, at Tiruvalla.The function that will be held at Dr Alexander Marthoma Auditorium at SCS Junction will be presided over by Baselious Marthoma Paulose Catholica Bava.Kurian John Melamparambil will welcome the guests. The souvenir of the Melam Charities will be released by KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala. The website will be launched by SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Nadesan.“Melam Charities is also planning to expand the charity activities globally by joining hands with similar organisations. Apart from medical aid, the Trust will also give financial support to the inmates of old-age homes, orphanages and rehabilitation centres for the differently-abled,” said Kurian John.
