Speaker asks TDP, rebel MLA to place views

HYDERABAD: In a bid to speed up the process of clearing the disqualification petition case pending against TDP rebel MLA N Prasanna Kumar Reddy (Kovur), Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar on Tuesday served notices on both the Telugu Desam Party and the legislator concerned to place their views before him.The Speaker would hear the arguments of both the parties before taking a final decision on the disqualification petition. The TDP was asked to give its explanation before June 27, while Prasanna Kumar Reddy would be allowed to place his views on June 28.It may be recalled that the TDP had submitted a petition to the Speaker last year seeking disqualification of its party rebel MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy from the Assembly membership for 'anti-party activities.' In response, the speaker had issued notice to Kovur MLA seeking explaination on the petition given by the TDP. Prasanna Kumar Reddy has been sailing with Jagan Mohan Reddy.
