Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Philatelic Society will release a special cover on the latest pin-up boy of Indian cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni at a function in Jamshedpur on Monday.
The 24-year-old, the first cricketer from Jharkhand, will arrive in the steel, city alongwith the Indian team to play the sixth match of the seven-match One-Day series against England at Keenan stadium on April 12.
Andrew Flintoff-led England team and the Indian team will be arriving in the city via Ranchi on Monday afternoon.
The secretary of the society, Syed Hafizuddin said that the special cover on Dhoni will cost Rs 20 and the Philatelic Society would utilise the collection for the promotion of the society's activities.
Earlier, the postal department, Jharkhand had released the speical cover on Dhoni, world-record holder archer Jhanu Hansda and Bollywood actor Tanushree utta last year for winning accolades for the state in their respective field.
Hafizuddin said the purpose behind the special cover was to project Dhoni for the development of the state particularly in the sport arena.
