ALUVA: The Excise special squad has nabbed two people in connection with the case in which over 8,500 litres of spirit was seized from a workshop at Thottakkattukara in Aluva the other day.The arrested are Jose alias Kunjumon, 29, Rose Lane, Thottakkattukara and Sanalkumar, 23, Pokkaripallath, Thottakkattukara.Kunjumon was nabbed from Bank Junction here at 11 p.m on Monday.He had reportedly helped another accused Sam to unload the spirit containers from the lorry and stash it inside the workshop. He had also helped in distributing the spirit by loading it in cars and other vehicles. However, Kunjumon managed to escape just before the raid.Sanalkumar was nabbed from Paravoor Junction on Monday midnight. Sanalkumar is the driver of the autorickshaw owned by another accused Jobby. He has reportedly confessed that he used to assist Jobby and others in transporting spirit.He also used to alert the accomplices by monitoring the movements of the police and Excise. He has revealed that he helped four other accused to escape.
