Los Angeles: Actress Sandra Bullock's Indian-style outfit made heads turn when she walked the red carpet at the 9th Annual Costume Designer's Guild Awards.
Marc Bouwer, who is inspired by Indian designs, designed the dress, reports www.hollywood.tv.
Bullock, who got the Swarovski President's Award, joked during her acceptance speech, "People are thinking, 'Why is she getting this award? I don't remember anything that's she's worn!'"
The Guild promotes research, artistry and technical expertise in the field of film and television costume design.
Hollywood needs more Indian designers on the red carpet because every time stars walks on the red carpet they want to look different and make a splash in the press.
But the problem is that there are no shops to buy Indian clothes Hollywood.
