London: The illustrious Star Wars spacecraft sold for a whopping 203,000 pounds at auction.
It was almost double the amount the 18in by 14in renowned TIE fighter spacecraft was expected to fetch.
The model aircraft was one of the most distinguished items amongst the famous 1,000 film props that sold for more than 2 million pounds.
Joseph Maddelena, the man behind the auction, was totally delighted with the historical auction.
“A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” British tabloid The Sun quoted Maddelena as saying.
The Profile in History Hollywood sale also included many other celebrated film props like the Back To The Future Part II hoverboard, which sold for 32,000 pounds.
A James Bond script sold for 37,843 pounds, while the Axe used in The Shining fetched a whopping 15,187pounds.
