BANGALORE: Rasarushi Kuvempu, a Kannada movie produced by Aravinda Prakash and Padma Prakash and directed by Rutvik Simha, has been adjudged the first best film for 2009-10. While late Dr Vishnuvardhan has been posthumously given Subbaiah Naidu award for best actor for his role in Aaapta Rakshaka, Anu Prabhakar has been adjudged best female actor for her role in the  movie Pareekshe.  “There is no emotional or sentiment factors in selecting Dr Vishnuvardhan for the best actor award and the selection is purely professional,” noted actor Dwarkish, chairman of the selection committee, told reporters here on Wedneday. The names of the awardees was announced by Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda. The 2009-10 Dr Rajkumar award goes to R N Sudarshan while Puttanna Kanagal award has been given to C V Shivashankar. The lifetime achievement award instituted in the name of Late Dr Vishnuvardhan has been given to S D Ankalagi.  Manasaare, a movie produced by Rockline Venkatesh and directed by Yograj Bhat, has been given the best award, while Loveguru, produced by G S Naveen and directed by B S Prashanth, has been adjudged the third best.While the best movie award carries Rs. 1 lakh prize in cash, 50 gm gold and a citation, the second best movie award carries Rs. 75,000 in cash, 100 gm silver and a citation. The third best movie award carries Rs. 50,000, 100 gm silver and a citation. Shabari, produced by Ramesh Yadav and directed by Baraguru Ramachandrappa has been adjudged the first best movie for special social impact; the award carries Rs. 75,000 cash, 100 gm silver and a citation. In the children movie section, Kinnara Baale and Gurukula, have been selected as the best movies. While the former is produced by M/S Everest India and directed by P H Vishwanath, the latter has been produced by H K Srinivas and directed by Sunil Puranik. The best supporting actor award has gone to Neenasam Ashwath for his role in Banni, Chandrakala, has been awarded best supporting actor (female) for her role in Runanubandha. Other awards in different categories are: best dubbing artist (male) Siddaraja Kalyankar for the movie Banni, best dubbing artist (female) Deepu in Just Maathmaathalli, best story writer Nagathihalli Chandrashekar (Olave Jeevana Lekkachara), best script Guruprasad (Yeddulu Manjunatha), best dialogue writer Godaji Maharudra (Banni), best cinematographer Sundarnath Suvarna (Kallara Santhe), best music director Harikrishna (Raj), best sound recordist Kumar (Just Maathmaathalli), best editor Srinivas P Babu (Raj), best child artist (boy)  Chiranjeevi (Yekameva),  (girl) Madhushri (Kinnarabale).
