MYSORE: Leader of Opposition in Assembly Siddaramaiah charged that the two former chief ministers of the state who failed to protect its resources are facing litigations.“The state does not need BJP or JD(S) leaders who are facing charges in the illegal mining scam,” he said.Speaking at the valedictory of a programme organised by the Congress in Varuna constituency, near here, he said that the state has suffered losses running into crores during the JD(S) and BJP regime.Siddaramaiah asked them to clear the losses and the state debt running to `93,000 crore.“The BJP favors businessmen, and only bank on Hindtuva and the Ram mandir issues; they are also against reservation,” he asserted.Without naming the chief minister’s personal secretary, who has been spending money in Varuna constituency, he appealed to the people to think of the magnitude of corruption in the government.KPCC general secretary H C Mahadevapa, who was also present on the occasion, said that the former CM who is battling litigation is a message to other politicians.“Mixing politics with business has landed the BJP and JD(S) in trouble.” He averred that corporate companies which opposed reservation firmly supported Anna Hazare in his campaign.
