The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) would be filling up vacant seats in medical and engineering courses in government and self-financing institutions in the Union territory through supplementary allotment of the seats on September 21 and 22.
CENTAC, however, has not released the list of vacant seats in different institutions. “We would be putting up the list of vacant seats in different institutions on our website on September 20, a day before counselling begins,” a CENTAC official said.
Vacancies that arise if a student moves from a college where he/she is admitted to a vacant seat would also be filled up during the supplementary allotment, the official added.
Candidates who want to avail of the allotment in any of the biology-based degree courses will not be eligible to appear for the engineering supplementary allotment. Alternatively, students who have already joined in medical and other biology-based courses and want to appear in the allotment of engineering courses, should surrender the biology-based course seat by September 21.
