New Delhi: A sudden fog cover enveloped the Capital on Friday morning and threw flight schedules at the Indira Gandhi Airport out of gear.
Many flights to Delhi were delayed or diverted to various places as the runway visibility fell to zero and the visibility system crashed.
Most flights have been diverted to places like Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad and the schedules of almost all carriers, except Indian, have been affected.
Only those who had early morning flights (before 0500 hrs IST) were able to catch them. The other passengers are still stranded.
