T Naziruddin to continue as KVVES president

PALAKKAD: The Kerala Vyapari Vyvasayi Ekopana Samiti state council meet held at Joby’s Mall here on Sunday unanimously  decided that Samiti state president T Naziruddin will continue in the post till 2013.Later, at a press conference, T Naziruddin said that since   state general-secretary Alex M Chacko was vacating the post  owing to health reasons, he had been nominated the patron of  the Samiti.Former state vice-president M Jayaprakash (Thrissur) has been  nominated the new state general-secretary while former vice-presidents Mariyil Krishnan Nair (Idukki), Joby V Chungath (Palakkad), P A M Ibrahim (Ernakulam) and Peringamala Ramachandran (Thiruvananthapuram) will continue in their posts.Similarly, the former state secretaries Kunhavu Haji (Malappuram), Devassia Mecherry (Kannur), M Shamsudheen (Alappuzha) and G Gopakumar (Kollam) will continue in their posts and treasurer T D Joseph (Kottayam) will continue as the treasurer. The meet also decided that K Ahmed Sheriff (Kasargod) and K K Vaudevan (Wayanad) will continue to be state secretariat members. The observers of the new state council meeting are  M Narayanankutty, auditor K V Venkitaraman and K Devadas.T Naziruddin presided over the state council meet. The report presented by state general-secretary Alex M Chacko and the audited accounts presented by state treasurer T D Joseph  were passed unanimously.Naziruddin said there were no elections at the state council  meet of the Samiti as the council wanted the previous committee to continue in office with some minor changes.
