THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The grand finale of Tech-a-break, the annual cultural extravaganza of Technopark, was held at the Park on Friday. The four-day-long programme ended with a cultural evening in which Bennet and the Band and playback singers Alap Raju and Vijay Prakash performed. IBS became the ‘Company of the Year’ by bagging most overall points in the competitions. Allianz became the first runner-up and NeST the second runner-up.IT Secretary P H Kurian distributed prizes to the winners of various inter-company competitions. Technopark CEO Girish Babu and other officials were present at the grand finale. The Technopark Premier League Cricket Tournament trophy was also given away to the winners RevenueMed, runners-up UST Global and other key players at the ceremony.The highlight of this year’s Tech-a-break was a cultural rally attended by hundreds of techies dressed up in themes such as tribals, kindergarten and razzle-dazzle, held on Wednesday. On Thursday, techies participated in a quiz programme hosted by renowned commentator Charu Sharma. Various competitions on dance, music and funny games were conducted. Open air disco and DJ party were also arranged as part of the programme.The eight edition of Tech-a-break began on Monday after a gap of one year.
