Teen killed in UP for stealing cell phone
An FIR has been registered for culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the four accused.

Mathura: A 15-year-old boy, Lokesh, was allegedly beaten to death in Mathura's Nagla Bhagat village on Saturday for allegedly stealing a mobile phone. The teenager was thrashed with sticks by the owner of the mobile phone Lokum Singh and his sons.

When residents of the village got to know about the incident on Monday morning, they went looking for the teenager, and then rushed him to a hospital.

Lokesh, however, was declared dead on arrival.

"Four people from the village beat him up saying that he stole their phone. He was killed and thrown in front of his house," said a villager, Sunil.

"The boy was beaten up last night and left wounded in front of his father's house. The culprits are on the run," said Mathura SSP Luv Kumar.

An FIR has been registered for culpable homicide not amounting to murder against Lokum Singh's sons - Kushalpal, Ravindra and Dharamvir, and their friend Sanjay, who are now absconding.
