Srinagar: Two policemen were killed in a terrorist attack near the court premises in Pulwama town on Monday after terrorists fired volley of bullets on a police party in the main township. Police and witnesses said terrorists fired briefly on the policemen and later fled from the scene.
The two policemen with serious injuries were shifted to Srinagar, but died due to the injuries.
Earlier, an assailant attacked and stabbed a police official in Pampore market of the Pulwama district. He was chased and overpowered by policemen who were on duty.
The police official has been admitted to a hospital in Pampore. He has now been referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar.
