With the proposed Telangana March on September 30 drawing closer, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) is chalking out innovative ways loaded with surprise elements to hoodwink the law enforcing authorities and ensure the success of the programme.
The TJAC is said to have prepared a blue print but it is being kept a closely guarded secret. It would be approved in the steering committee meeting to be held here on Monday.
Among the novel moves, it is learnt, is the plan to organise the March in Seemandhra-dominated areas like Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Madhapur, Kondapur and Kukatpally. TJAC activists would block all the roads, giving no scope for movement of traffic.
It is learnt that nearly 5,000 volunteers would reach Hyderabad by September 25 and would undergo training at secret places. They would be organised into groups of 100 each. Each group would be assigned one specific area where it would start preparations after September 28. An MP or an MLA would lead a set of groups. The TJAC is expecting thousands of people to converge on the city and is ready with plans to help them sneak into the capital during the huge Ganesh immersion processions to be taken out on Sept. 29, one day before the proposed march.
“The protests would be very innovative. The mock marches in Telangana districts are already drawing a tremendous response,” a TJAC leader told Express.
According to reliable sources, the TJAC believes that the Telangana issue will reach a decisive stage if they intensify the movement. The TRS, BJP, CPI and CPI (ML New Democracy) have already announced their support to the march besides the Telangana Congress MPs and MLAs.
