Traffic signal repaired

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The traffic signal light, which had been lying dead for weeks in front of the Secretariat causing trouble to motorists, was finally repaired following the direct intervention from the office of the Minister for Industries, P K Kunhalikutty. The defunct signal lights were causing  traffic jams on the roads in the area during peak hours. The Minister took direct action following the numerous complaints he received from the public in this regard. All this while, the traffic was being controlled by the Traffic Police personnel, but their efforts usually were in vain. Several minor accidents had also occurred in the area due to the confusion among the drivers trapped in the congested roads.  The signal lights were repaired by the KELTRON authorities in swift response to the Minister’s directive.
