PUDUCHERRY: The heavy rains delayed a function organised on the occasion of the 58th Formation Day (De Facto merger day) of Puducherry on Tuesday. Chief Minister N Rangasamy was forced to wait for some respite from the rain to unfurl the national flag at the Mahatma Gandhi statue.The Chief Minister, along with his ministerial colleague N G Pannerselvam and legislator K Lakshminarayanan, greeted the freedom fighters and honoured them with shawls.
