Lucknow: The newly elected International President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje reached Ayodhya on Monday morning and visited the disputed site of Ram Janam Bhumi along with visiting Hanumangarhi.
On his maiden visit to Ayodhya as the International President of VHP, Kokje claimed that Ram Mandir will be built soon; it was a dream of former VHP leader Ashok Singhal. “The Supreme Court’s verdict on this issue will be in our favour, just like the High Court gave the order in our favour,” claimed Kokje while speaking to media in Ayodhya.
“We do not represent the Government, rather we represent the Hindu society,” said Kokje and also termed Modi Government as a Hindu-Friendly government. The former judge, who also served as governor of Himachal Pradesh, also offered prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple.
He was accompanied by VHP Vice President Champat Rai along with a dozen officer bearers of the VHP. Kokje also met saints in Ayodhya along with visiting Karsewakpuram, which is also the workshop run by VHP where stones are being carved for Ram Temple.
Before leaving for Ayodhya, while speaking to journalists in Lucknow, VHP International President Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje claimed that Muslims of Ayodhya also want Ram temple to be constructed there.
“I will be meeting saints from all over the country and will push campaign to build a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The decision regarding the Ram temple in Supreme Court will come soon and also in our favour. The issue of Ram Mandir can be resolved amicably, but the parties involved in the case are from outside. The Muslims Personal Law Board has nothing to do with the issue, they just incite or scare the parties involved. The Muslims of Ayodhya want a Ram Temple to be built at the disputed site,” claimed Kokje.
