New Delhi: After being left in the lurch by the BJP camp on Monday, there's some hope for the Sanyasin.
The VHP on Wednesday recalled Uma Bharti's association with the Ram Janambhoomi movement and promised support to her if she was committed to the cause of the Ram temple.
"Sadhvi Uma Bharti is a product of the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Movement and has been associated with it since beginning. VHP will extend cooperation to anybody who associates with the movement", VHP Senior Vice-President Acharya Giriraj Kishore said.
He agreed with senior Parishad leader Praveen Togadia's remarks that her Ram Roti Yatra from Bhopal to Ayodhya was a "personal programme".
Kishore also denied reports that VHP had sought answers to questions on ideological issues from Uma.
"We have not asked her any questions nor written any letter. The report does not mention who has put forward the questions and hence the report could be concocted", Kishore said.
