Mumbai: An FIR has been registered against former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife following a complaint filed by the couple's domestic help.
Denying all the claims made by his servant, Kambli on Sunday said, "All this is wrong. She should prove her allegations and she has said such derogatory things about me. Who is she to demean me."
The Bandra Police filed the FIR on Saturday against 43-year-old Kambli and his wife after the complaint by their maid, who alleged that the couple was not paying proper wages to her and when she asked for it, they misbehaved with her, a police officer said.
"They treated me very badly. I requested them repeatedly that I want to leave and because of this they never paid me my salary and confiscated my phone, documents, etc. I want my dignity back, I want justice and my phone and documents," the maid said.
