HYDERABAD: With police refusing permission for Visalandhra Mahasabha to organise a meeting here, the representatives of the sabha are all set to move the High Court seeking permission for the same. Meanwhile, Visalandhra Mahasabha president Parakala Prabhakar along with other representatives called on governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday and submitted a memorandum seeking permission for the meet. After calling on the governor, Prabhakar said they would also move a petition in the court in this regard. “Holding meetings is a legal thing. We do not provoke and involve in violent activities. We will discuss advantages and disadvantages of state’s bifurcation and create awareness among the people,’’ he added. It may be recalled that the police have refused permission for the proposed two-day Visalandra Sammelan scheduled to start from Saturday at Jubilee Hall. The police have asked the organisers to postpone the meet.
