KOCHI: Paving way for the ouster of Gopi Kottamurickal, the former Ernakulam district secretary of CPM, the committee headed by Vaikom Viswan submitted its report to the party state secretariat. The secretariat which meets on Friday will go through the report and the evidence produced before it.According to sources, the secretariat will endorse the ouster of Kottamurickal and pass the issue for the consideration of the state committee. The evidences produced before the committee were so strong that the committee was left with no other option but to put the former district secretary in the dock. Since Kottamurickal is a state committee member, any action against him will have to be ratified by that forum .The district secretariat members, who levelled the charges against Kottamrickal, have not handed over all the visuals captured using candid cameras. They have kept it with them for using it if the party does not agree to their demands for showing Kottamurickal the door. These visuals will be leaked out to the media, if the party fails to act properly, sources said. The committee is learnt to have found some of the district secretariat members guilty of leaking the news to the media. They should have discussed the issue in the district committee or brought the issue to the notice of the state committee. The report will be helpful for the state leadership to expel these district secretariat and district committee members who belong to the VS camp. The office secretaries in the Lenin Centre, the district committee office, will also lose their posts. In its report, the committee has stated the role played by these office secretaries in executing the plot against the former district secretary, sources said.
