VELLORE: Thinkcore Technologies, a start-up company supported by Vellore Institute of Technology’s (VIT) Technology Business Incubator (VITTBI), has received the Indian Science Parks and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) award at the ISBA 2012 annual conference held in Pune recently. The award was presented by Dr R A Mashelkar, former Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India, to Narendra Aswatha Narayana, CEO of Thinkcore Technologies.Each year, ISBA recognises meritorious start-ups from the Indian business incubator community. It received over 50 nominations this year under various categories and an eminent panel of juries scrutinised the nominations and selected Thinkcore Technologies under the Graduated Incubatee Firms category. The ‘pebble-talk’ product created by Thinkcore uses social networking platforms in enterprise space for collaboration among employees.Through its business incubation program, VITTBI assisted Thinkcore Technologies for three years by providing it with seed capital and technology development support. Thinkcore was also nominated by VITTBI for the World Bank supported infoDev Award, which it won. It has since then been inducted under the Access to Marketing and Finance (A2MF) programme of the World Bank for venture growth acceleration.
