BELGAUM: As rain slickened in Khanapur taluk, another bridge was opened for traffic on Friday.
Meanwhile, all other ten bridges are still under waters and closed for traffic. As rainfall has decreased in Maharashtra, water level in Alamatti Dam has come down to 518.67 m. Inflow has decreased to 1.43 lakh cusecs from 1.79 lakh cusecs and outflow is 1.83 lakh cusecs. It was 1.85 lakh cusecs on Thursday. Outflow from Varana reservoir has also reduced to 11,496 cusecs from 14,020.However outflow from Rajapur barrage has increased to 1.45 lakh cusecs from 1.30 lakh cusecs as water has been stored up to 38.6 feet but its maximum capacity is 15 ft. Outflow at Doodhganga has been reduced to 5,400 cusecs from 6,400.

The water level in Koyna reservoir in Maharashtra has risen by 2 TMC as against its recorded 74.29 TMC on Thursday. Water level in Malaprabha, Ghataprabha, Doodhganga and Vedaganga rivers has raisen. Malaprabha and Ghataprabha reservoirs in the district have filled half way due to lack of rains.
