A youth, an accused in a murder, and his friend were found murdered at Brahmadevara Gudda on Kaadu Malleshwara Road near Kodigehalli on Thursday. The victims have been identified as Nagabhushan, 26, and Shankar alias Koli, both residents of Moodalpalya. According to the police, the incident has taken place on Wednesday evening, but came to light on Thursday afternoon, when some shepherds noticed the bodies.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Nagabhushan had allegedly murdered his lover, a resident of Sunkadakatte, at the same spot a few years ago. He had been serving time in jail since then. His family claimed that he was missing after his release from jail on last Tuesday. The miscreants have murdered Nagabhushan and his friend with a machete, the police said.
The police are yet to ascertain the reason for the murder and are on the lookout for the miscreants.
Police suspect an old rivalry might be the reason for murder. Tavarekere police registered a case.
