It is considered a jyotirlinga, the third most important place after Amarnath and Mansarovar.

Marriage is the union of not just two people but families. When two people decide to come together and spend the rest of their lives together, there are many factors, other than just love, taken into consideration. It is also important that the couples receive the blessings of gods and goddesses. In Hindu culture, it is believed that the couple should visit temples and religious places in order to seek the blessings of the deities. According to reports, there is a temple in Jharkhand where if the couple bows their heads to the deity, their relationship lasts and remains full of love.

The Baba Khonhar Nath is situated in the Gijna region of Jharkhand. It is considered a jyotirlinga, and the third most important place after Amarnath and Mansarovar. There is a belief that those who bow their heads in front of the Shivalinga get their wishes fulfilled. The temple has also become a tourist destination.

The Baba Khonhar Nath temple is said to be centuries old. Santosh Baba, the priest of this temple, said that his ancestors have been worshipping here for 500 years. He added that Lord Shiva is present here in the form of Shivalinga, along with Goddess Ganga. It is believed that if one wants to make the married life happy, then by paying obeisance at this temple, the relationship gets connected for life.

The priest at the temple revealed that Lord Bholenath is present here with Goddess Ganga and has rocks all around them. The temple is beautifully made and is very well respected by the locals. It can be seen that people from all around the country visit the auspicious temple.

Recently, it was also reported that a 15-foot-tall statue of Lord Parshuram would also be installed at this temple. As more tourists are coming in large numbers to these temples, the state government has decided to develop facilities like ACs, rooms, better roads, trees, gardens, and archways near the temple.
