So, you've decided that this is the year when you will pay extra attention to the shoes you’d wear – be it a formal get-together, a social do, or a candid meeting with close friends. Whether you need comfort, or the right style quotient, the first thing you need to do is find a decent pair of shoes.

You can smarten up your casual look by choosing these black striped shoes by Bowtoes. Featuring cotton upper and lining, these are durable. Featuring a striped print, these slip-ons can go well with skirts and dresses.

We tried testing for the shoe for its cushioning by compressing the ball area. While we expected the show to give us a slightly padded feel, it failed. Even though it doesn’t have a highly cushioned footbed, we tried wearing it. It doesn’t harm much.

Since the heel is zilch, it doesn’t put greater pressure on the front of the foot. But just because it has lower heels doesn’t mean it is completely comfortable. While the heel counter is both good and firm which locks the foot into the shoe, what it certainly lacks is the much-needed cushioning. The base can seem a bit hard to those who don’t wear socks. Wihtout socks, there is no pinching or constriction of the toes.

(Above product) Again, look wise, it is impressive, but we were a bit disappointed about how the side layer of the shoe started coming out even before we could have tried it the first time. However, it was far more comfortable than the previous pair.
