Pizza Hut is celebrating 'March madness' with the launch of ‘Pizza Hut Pie Tops' -- a basketball shoe that lets the wearer order pizza at the push of a button.
The custom-designed footwear comes equipped a Bluetooth smart button, placed on inside of the shoe's tongue, which connects the sneakers to a special ‘Pie Tops' app on the user's phone, allowing them to instantly place an order. The move coincides with the NCAA College Basketball Tournament, which the restaurant chain partnered up with last year.
"We know pizza is a fan favorite during the NCAA College Basketball Tournament, and our special-edition Pie Tops are a culturally-timed creative expression of our commitment to providing the easiest pizza ordering and delivery experience possible," said David Daniels, Vice President, Media & Advertising, Pizza Hut.
