In a crackdown on illegal construction, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Friday demolished F1 Hospital owned by Siraj Ahmed, a close aide of mafia don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari.
The bulldozer action came days after the hospital, located on Cantt Road, was evacuated and sealed by LDA on December 24. The authority said it was the structure was constructed illegally, without getting the map passed.
Amid tight security arrangements, the LDA reached the spot, and part of the building constructed against the standards was demolished.

An FIR has also been registered against builders Showeb Iqbal, Monis Iqbal, Siraj Ahmed and Michael at Kaiserbagh police station for violating building norms.
While Monis Iqbal has already been arrested and jailed, authorities are actively searching for Siraj Ahmed and Michael.
