After a busy 2015, which saw four of his major releases, actor Akshay Kumar is back with yet another gripping tale - the first of 2016. Set in Kuwait that too at the time when Saddam Husain had invaded the country, the political drama 'Airlift' talks about India's biggest mission.
The film revolves around the efforts that were made to Indian commercial pilots who undertook 488 flights over 59 days to evacuate 1,70,000 Indians from Kuwait after it was invaded by Saddam Hussein.
While the entire operation was conducted secretively and didn't make news when it was carried out, it successfully entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest human evacuation that has ever happened in the history.
