Alaya F's Debut Film Jawaani Jaaneman Clocks 4 Years; Says 'Want To Make Up For All The Lost Time Now'
Alaya F completed 4 years in Bollywood today. She made her film debut with Jawaani Jaaneman opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Actress Alaya F, who made her debut in Bollywood alongside Saif Ali Khan in Jawaani Jaaneman, is celebrating her four years in the acting industry. On Wednesday, January 31st, the actress revisited her film and shared fond memories of it.

Starring alongside seasoned actors Tabu and Saif Ali Khan, Alaya’s entry into the industry was nothing short of a fairy tale. The movie, released on that fateful day in 2020, not only marked a significant milestone in her career but also showcased her credentials as an actor, earning her acclaim from peers, industry veterans, and critics alike.

The actress shared, “Four years have passed, but half the time went into the pandemic. It’s still quite a surreal feeling to realize that I’ve been in this industry for four years. And hopefully, by the time it hits five years, I have lots more work out because the pandemic stole so much time away that I want to make up for all the lost time now.”

Reminiscing about the way she received the offer for the film, Alaya added, “’Jawaani Jaaneman’ sort of came to me in a very unique way. I had heard of this film a while ago, and then there was no more conversation about it. So it sort of slipped my mind until one day my team and my agent sent me a message about it. On that same day, my father saw an article in the newspaper about it, and he sent me a photo of it saying, ‘Hey, maybe you should look into this project.’ My mother also happened to mention something about something she saw about it on the same day. And it came to me in another way, too; someone had sent it to me. So I was like, This is interesting for people who have spoken to me about this film, which had never happened before. So I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s see if we can get an opportunity to test for it.”

Going down memory lane, Alaya also recalled the interesting audition process: “I went in, and when I read the scenes that were there for the test, I was like, ‘This girl is just like me, and very rarely had I read a script or a scene that I related to so much in a certain way.’ But just because of the way the character was, the way she spoke, the way she looked, and the way the description was, I could totally imagine myself in that character.”

Alaya has an exciting line-up of projects on the horizon, including ‘Sri’ alongside Rajkummar Rao and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ featuring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Manushi Chhillar.
