Lalita D’Silva is known to work as a nanny for star kids Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, although she doesn’t like being called so. In a recent interview, she clarified that she is not a nanny but a pediatric nurse. Many times her salary was compared to that of the Prime minister of the country. She explained that in wealthy families, nannies and pediatric nurses have different roles. Lalita DSilva has been associated with the Pataudi family since Taimur’s birth. Since the day she began her work, there have been numerous rumours about her salary.
In an interview with India Today, Lalita said that she is often required to work round the clock. She said, “I am working 24X7 with no holidays. I am on duty round the clock. Any corporate person works for a certain time and has weekends.” “What am I getting? If there is Diwali, Christmas, or summer vacation, I stay outside the country. So I have the right to charge that much money,” she added.
Lalita mentioned that earlier, even some of her relatives compared her salary to the PM’s. She said, “My relatives sometimes say that my salary is similar to that of PM’s.” The pediatric nurse explained that while executive-level officials have scheduled work, she gets a break for only 1 to 2 hours. She added that being with high-profile families, she has to look after the child every time. “At night I wake up at least 4-5 times during night. I only get rest when I know that the child is with the family members, otherwise, I am always alert,” she stated.
She has reportedly worked with several other celebrity families. Lalita has taken care of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s son Anant Ambani. Earlier she posted a picture with Anant Ambani on her Instagram handle thanking the Ambani family for the fond memories and warm moments.
She is also presently working with Ram Charan and Upasana for their daughter Klin Kaara.
