Team of Animal movie has responded to Kiran Rao’s claim that she never commented on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movies. The team, on its official X account, has shared a clip of Kiran Rao’s latest interview in which she is denying commenting on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s films. However, they also shared a link of an article which reported that Kiran cited Sandeep’s film Kabir Singh in one of her recent sessions while talking about the state of films in Bollywood that glorify stalking as a form of wooing a woman.
Sharing the clip and the article link, the team of Animal wrote: “Neither we nor our director Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga are making any assumptions Miss @ikiranrao! It’s a fact reported by a very big media channel.”

In the clip, shared by the film’s team, Kiran told The Quint, “I have never commented on Mr Sandeep’s films because I have never seen them. I have often spoken on misogyny and the representation of women on screen. I have talked about it on various platforms at various times. But I have never taken the name of any film because it is not about the specific film. Why Mr Vanga has assumed that I was talking about his film you’ll have to ask him. I have never seen his film.”
On Reddy Vanga’s recent statement that her ex-husband Aamir Khan himself did misogynistic songs like ‘Khambe jaisi khadi hai’ back in the day, Rao said that Aamir was one of the few people who had apologised for it. “There are very few people who would look back at their body of work and apologise for doing something problematic in retrospect,” she added.
