Bhumi Pednekar Keeps It Casual And Cool While Book Shopping In Mumbai
Flaunting a casual look and warm smile, the Badhaai Do actress looked radiant as she made her way towards her car.

Buying books at the local market is a joy that true bibliophiles are aware of, but it is not something we generally expect movie stars would do. Proving us wrong, Bhumi Pednekar was spotted returning home after buying books from a local market on the streets of Mumbai. Flaunting a casual look and warm smile, the Badhaai Do actress looked radiant as she made her way towards her car.

After the book shopping, Bhumi smiled at the shutterbugs stationed there, waving hands at them. For her casual day out, she was seen wearing a white cropped fitted top with black linen pants for a comfy look that was elevated by perfectly-picked sunglasses. Her twisted ponytail sealed her look.

Bhumi Pednekar is known for portraying roles that reflect the diverse experiences of women across India. Speaking at the News18 SheShakti 2024 event, the actress addressed the idea of being offered such roles and also shared the vision behind her film choices. The actress said, “I want to be the queen of heartland cinema. I have worked very hard to earn that, and mujhe toh mere desh ki kahaniyan bolni hai (I want to tell the stories of my country). I want to represent every woman in that spectrum, from every walk of life and every strata of society.”

Bhumi Pednekar’s last film was Bhakshak, a crime thriller based on the Muzaffarpur shelter case. Next, she will be seen in the Netflix series, The Royals, alongside Ishaan Khatter. Touted as a “modern take on a royal romance”, it also stars Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Panday, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Sumukhi Suresh, Udit Arora, Lisa Mishra and Luke Kenny.

The Royals marks Bhumi Pedenkar’s web series debut and Zeenat’s first collaboration with Netflix. Written by Neha Veena Sharma, the show is produced by Pritish Nandy and jointly directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana.

While talking about the much-anticipated show, Tanya Bhami, Netflix India’s series head said, “Everybody loves a good romance. The Royals is a modern-day regal romance with a spectacular setting and a dazzling cast. We can’t wait for our members to be enthralled by this exciting contemporary fairy tale with a generous dose of wit and humour.”
