Chiyaan Vikram Fans Celebrate As Thangalaan Hits Theatres In Puducherry

Many films made their way to the theatres yesterday. One such film that was released yesterday, August 15, is Thangalaan. The film has already created a massive fan among the netizens, as people have been eagerly waiting for its release. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film promises to be filled with intense action. It attracted a huge response at the box office. To celebrate the Day 1 success, the Vikram Fans Association of Puducherry organised an event. They also welcomed the film with great joy and enjoyment in front of the theatres.

Many people who watched the film mentioned that Thangalaan speaks about the traditions of the tribal community. In this context, the release was celebrated with traditional instruments, music, and drums. Fans expressed their excitement by bursting fireworks and performing special rituals in front of the film’s banner.

The event continued with the enthusiastic participation of the association’s executives, fans, and members of the transgender community, who celebrated with dance and song. The celebration also included showering flowers on Chiyaan Vikram’s banner. A large number of the general public also actively took part in the celebration.

Thangalaan’s storyline is set in the backdrop of British India. A man named Thangalaan and his villagers face problems in life due to their village landlord. The Landlord confiscates Thangalaan’s land as he fails to pay the taxes. To pay off his debt, Thangalaan agrees to guide the British into the Kolar Gold Fields to hunt for gold. However, They face resistance from a local goddess who stops them from entering the gold mines. On the first day of the release, the film managed to record a worldwide box-office collection of over Rs 19 crore.

Thangalaan is produced by Dhananjayan G and KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green. Chiyaan Vikram plays the lead role of Thangalaan. The film featured well-known stars like Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Preeti Karan, Hari Krishnan and Vettai Muthukumar in key roles. The cinematography was done by Kishor Kumar.
