In the video, Halsey is seen rubbing her legs, seemingly in pain as she says, "I feel like an old lady."

Popstar Halsey is struggling with serious health issues. Halsey revealed the same in a shocking social media post on Tuesday, mentioning that she is “lucky to be alive”. While her diagnosis is not yet known, Halsey’s post has left her fans quite worried. The update coincides with the release of her first new single, The End, from her upcoming fifth studio album.

Although Halsey did not confirm the exact diagnosis, she tagged the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance in her post. The 29-year-old shared a set of pictures and videos, referring both to her album and her condition. “Long story short, I’m Lucky to be alive. short story long, I wrote an album. It begins with The End. out now,” she wrote.

In the first video, Halsey can be seen massaging her legs while telling a person off-camera, “I feel like an old lady. I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not gonna be sick and I’m gonna look super hot and have so much energy and just get to re-do my twenties in my thirties.”

This is followed by another short clip from Day 1 of her treatment, a video showing her playing guitar and singing The End, and another final one giving glimpses of her hospital visits and breakdowns.

Fans quickly rushed to the comments section and wished her a speedy recovery. A person commented, “We love you halsey, be brave,” another one said, “A lot of strength for you, it is very hard to go through those types of health problems. I wish you a speedy recovery, I love you and I wish you healing in the face of all this, you are strong.”

Interestingly, The End song also references her health conditions with the lyrics, “Every couple of years now, a doctor says I’m sick / Pulls out a brand new bag of tricks / And then they lay it on me / And at first, it was my brain, then a skeleton in pain / And I don’t like to complain, but I’m saying sorry.”

In the meantime, while Halsey refrained from revealing her specific diagnosis, she is said to be donating the proceeds from her new single track to the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Previously, the Without Me singer was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS).
