In his latest interview with Anupama Chopra, the actor revealed how he loved Diljit Dosanjh’s performance in Amar Singh Chamkila. He also spoke about Diljit’s personality.
In conversation with Anupama Chopra, Rajkummar Rao revealed that he has already watched Amar Singh Chamkila three times. He stated, “I am in love with the film.” He praised Parineeti Chopra for her performance and expressed his awe to see Diljit as Chamkila. He said, “Diljit some moments…Aatma nikal ke de hai usne.” Appreciated the actor’s commitment to work and simple personality, Rajkummar revealed, “He is just something…He was saying in one of his podcasts kuch 2020 mein kuch to hua hai which has changed him as a person for good, I am glad it happened..bahut hi zyada purity hai.”

Moreover, Rajkummar Rao believes that Amar Singh Chamkila was a film made for Diljit Dosanjh. The actor expressed, “Sometimes you feel na if you see a film..arey yaar kaash yeh character mujhe milta but chamkila is like nahi nahi! Aap hi ho..Thank God aapko mila.”
The film Amar Singh Chamkila directed by Imtiaz Ali was released on Netflix on April 12. While Diljit Dosanjh portrays the great singer, Parineeti Chopra plays Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife. This was the first time Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh collaborated on a film. The film delves deeply into the life of the legendary Punjabi musician, who tragically died at the age of 27. Viewers and critics alike have praised the biographical drama for its intriguing storyline.
Meanwhile, Srikanth is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and also stars Jyothika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar in the key roles.
